Fundamental Handball
21st November 2019 19:30Handball is a fast paced, highly skillful, hugely entertaining, and fully inclusive sport. The fitness benefits of the game are vast. Speed, agility, endurance, flexibility, and bilateral coordination all come in to play in the sport that once you play for the first time, you won’t ever want to stop
Aim: To introduce the game of Handball to mentors who want to show 8-12 year olds how to play the game.
Key areas covered include;
- Teach youngsters the basic strokes
- Fun warm-ups,
- Modified mini games,
- lesson planning
Illustrate the usefulness of handball skills with regard to other sports, i.e. improved reactions, agility balance and the development of hand-eye coordination etc.
